Estimadas/os Visitantes:

En otoño, los días son más cortos, las temperaturas son bajas, el clima es más inestable y cambiante. Planifica tu salida con el pronóstico. Salí temprano, lleva bastones, abrigo extra, guantes, un buen par de zapatillas.

Acceso desde la base del C° Catedral
Parte baja (primeros 5 kilómetros) Sendero despejado y transitable. Muy buen estado.
Sector medio (entre el cruce de senderos y Piedritas): Sendero general muy bueno. Pequeños sectores con hielo y/o fina capa de nieve.
Sector superior (desde Piedritas hasta el refugio): Sendero con 15cm a 30cm de nieve. Hay una huella compacta armada. Considerar que está más duro por las mañanas y cuando baja el sol a la tarde.

El tiempo estimado para el ascenso varía según la capacidad física, calculándose entre 4 y 6 horas. Se recomienda comenzar a caminar antes de las 10 a.m.

A continuación, les brindamos algunas recomendaciones:

Para ascender al refugio Frey es imprescindible contar con el siguiente equipo: botas de trekking, abrigo (remera térmica, buzo polar/micropolar, campera de pluma/sintética, campera de lluvia y muda de recambio). No olvidar la linterna frontal.

El acceso desde Lago Gutiérrez está despejado y con buena transitabilidad general.

Llevar radio VHF y botiquín de primeros auxilios.

Realizar el registro de trekking gratuito y obligatorio en el sitio web oficial de APN: www.nahuelhuapi.gov.ar o en www.clubandino.org/registro-de-trekking.

Sumamente importante verificar el pronóstico meteorológico en https://www.windguru.cz/377964. antes de subir o reservar en el refugio.

Dear Visitors,

In autumn, the days are shorter, temperatures are low, and the weather is more unstable and changeable. Plan your outing according to the forecast. Start early, bring trekking poles, extra warm clothing, gloves, and a good pair of shoes.

Access via Catedral:

• Lower section (first 4 kilometers): Clear and passable trail. Very good condition.
• Middle section (between the trail junction and Piedritas): Very good condition. Small sections with ice and/or a thin layer of snow.
• Upper section (from Piedritas to the hut): Trail covered with 15 cm of fresh snow.

The estimated time for the ascent varies depending on physical ability, calculated between 4 and 6 hours. It is recommended to start hiking before 10 a.m.

Some recommendations:
To ascend to Refugio Frey, it is essential to have the following gear: trekking boots, warm clothing (thermal shirt, fleece/microfleece, down/synthetic jacket, rain jacket, rain pants, and a change of clothes). Don’t forget a headlamp.

Bring a VHF radio and a first aid kit.
